 The DRIVER 2008 Inventory Study   |

| In 2006, the DRIVER Inventory study was carried out in order to get an overview of repositories with research output in the European Union as a basis for the other DRIVER activities. This study has been updated by an expanded survey in 2008. The results of this 2008 survey are summarised here. The study focuses on research repositories, defined by: (1) containing research output from contemporary researchers (2) institutional or thematic (3) OAI-PMH compliant. In the survey, 178 institutional repositories and 14 thematic/non-institutional repositories participated. This report describes the results of the expanded survey of 2008 and includes comparisons where appropriate with the results of the 2006 survey. An elaborate summary of all the results can be found in chapter 10. |
